"Is The Fleet Stable?"
I had to tell you about my experience recently with my large Concept Fleet Biplane. With about ten minutes into my flight and performing some mild aerobatics, the right top wing panel flew off of my plane at about 200 feet. The front joiner mount and joiner pulled out of the top center section and took out the N strut and the wing with it. The "great" part is that with some rudder, elevator and throttle management, I was able to land the Fleet safely with three out of four wing panels. I was astonished, along with the 15 or so other pilots gasping, that the airplane was so stable that it allowed me land without damage. "Hats Off" to you on a wonderful design that is so resilient and stable. I fly this plane with a Saito 270 twin and love everything about it. Good luck with your business and feel free to tell others about this unbelievable event. Tim Adams Hartford, CT 25 May 2004
