Medical Personnel & Abortion
To date, no research has been published concerning the effects of abortion on the medical personnel who have worked or are currently working in an abortion facility. What little information that has been obtained concerning medical personnel has been in the form of informal anecdotes. The following survey is an attempt to collect systematic data regarding the possible effects on those who are employed within an abortion facility.
If you are currently working, or if you have worked in the past, as a physician, nurse, technician, counselor, or clerical person in an abortion clinic, please take a few minutes to complete the following survey. Feel free to add your comments in the space provided at the end of the survey. You may share your personal opinions in more detail and/or how you have tried to cope with any stressors involved in your job. You may also wish to comment on the actual survey. All participants will remain anonymous and confidentiality will be respected.
Sometimes, completing a survey such as this may trigger painful memories or uncomfortable emotions. Your participation in this research is entirely voluntary. If you choose to answer this questionnaire and find it distressing, you may stop at any time. If you believe that you may need or benefit from counseling, we encourage you to check our referral list ("links" on sidebar) for more information. Again, thank you for your interest and participation in this research.
