Lupine

Lupine is a native that grows well in the garden. I'm not sure if this is the native species because I got the seeds from my mother and don't know where she got them. I started with three dozen good seedlings and ended up with one surviving plant. Since then I've learned a little more about media for growing seedlings so I hope I get some more seeds some time. My plant was doing well on a fairly dry bank in a moderate amount of high, open shade. Then I had to go and move it so of course it died. Apparently they don't like that kind of treatment.
