Wisconsin Legislature Schedule of Committee Activities/Hearings

 

The Surface Transportation Board (Board) announced 9/13/07 that it has awarded a contract to Christensen Associates (Christensen), headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin, to conduct an independent study that will assess the current state of competition in the freight railroad industry in the United States. The study will cost approximately $1 million and will be completed and made public in the Fall of 2008.

RULE 31.2.2 

The Union Pacific has issued a change to System Special Instructions 10-C-10-D.  An inquiry has been made to the FRA with regards to a change made to 31.2.2 (C) as it applies to defective sanders on locomotives.  Please advise this office if any changes have been made on other Carriers with regard to this rule.  Thanks, Tim
